One person dead in Burleson County crash
Texas DPS confirmed with KBTX one person has died in a crash on Highway 60 in Burleson County.
BURLESON COUNTY, Texas (KBTX) - Texas DPS confirmed with KBTX that one person has died in a two-vehicle fatality crash on Highway 60 four miles west of Snook in Burleson County.
DPS said the crash happened at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. DPS said a 2006 Toyota Prius was traveling eastbound when it went into a ditch, over-corrected, and went into the westbound lane. The Prius struck a 2019 Ford Edge head-on that traveling in the westbound lane.
The driver of the Toyota, Jasmine Scott, 33, of Bryan was pronounced dead at the scene by Burleson County Justice of the Peace Bill Orsak.
The Driver of the Ford, Henry Neinast, 76, of Somerville was transported to CHI St. Joseph Region in Bryan with suspected serious injuries. The passengers Michael Alston, 32, of Bellville, and a 3-year-old female were also transported to CHI St. Joseph Region in Bryan with suspected serious injuries.
DPS said the investigation is still ongoing.
